Luis Orden Luis Orden was born in Castelldefels (Barcelona) in 1966.

He began his studies on transverse flute at the “Conservatorio Superior de Musica” in Seville at  the end of which he was noted with Distinction and awarded with the “Prize of Honour” in Chamber Music; then, he continued his musical career  studing with Magdalena Martinez and Wendela van Swool. He also took part in several masterclasses with Raymond Guiot, Robert Dick and Vicens Prats.

He has  performed in prestigious national and international concerts halls, such as the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Polish Radio Concert Hall in Katowice, the Spanish National Auditorium, the Gugghenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Apolo Theatre in Seville, the International Festival in Ubeda, the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art, etc.

Now he regularly performs with various chamber groups and orchestra: with Maria Esther Guzmán (on a guitar and flute duet); with the Ensemble Solistas de Sevilla; the  Trio Pleyel; the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, the Orquesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias and the Orquesta de Cordoba of which he has been  an important guest for many years.

He has given numerous premieres and several composers have dedicated their works to him. He has recorded for Radio Nacional de España (Classical Radio), Radio Orfeo de Rusia, Croatian Television, TVE and Canal Sur, among others. He has recorded several CDs, one of flute solos for Pearl Flutes, two with the world famous Sevillian guitarist Mª Esther Guzmán and four with the ensemble “Solistas de Sevilla". He has also collaborated with numerous artists and has participated in countless CDs as a musician in recording studios.

He is the author of the pedagogical books "Fundamentals of technique for flute" and "Perfect your rhythm".

For more than two decades he has been a teacher of transverse flute at the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Manuel Castillo" in Seville. Currently he teaches at the C.P.M. "Cristóbal de Morales" in the same city. He also teaches at
